oatmeal cranberry cookies recipe

A healthier, heartier cookie when compared to pre-packaged snacks and granola bars!  Less sugar, no preservatives and ingredients you can pronounce.

HOW TO:
3/4 cup soft salted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
3 tblsp milk
1 large egg
3/4 cup of all purpose white or whole wheat flour
Pinch of cinnamon (aprox 1 tsp)
3/4 tsp of baking soda
3 cups of large flake oats
1 cup (more or less, as desired) dried cranberries

oatmeal cranberry cookies recipeHeat oven to 350 degrees F.  In a bowl mix together the butter, sugars, followed by the egg and milk.  Next mix in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and blend together.  Add the oats and cranberries last.  With clean hands scoop up some batter and form into a small ball (soup spoon size).  Place a dozen per cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.  Makes about 25 to 30 cookies.

  1. I just tried this recipe, and I’m not really satisfied with the result. The cookies fall apart. Not sure what’s the problem, perhaps the batter needs more flour. I had to increase the cook time up to 11 minutes because they were still very wet when 8-min timer was up. Also, make sure to spray your cookie sheet with oil spray or line it with parchment paper otherwise the cookies will stick to it.
    Thanks for the recipe anyway. The overall taste is good.
