“the BEST Bailey’s recipe ever!”

gold numbered glass tumbler from Indigo
I’ve lost count of how many family and friends have confessed that they really don’t like Bailey’s or egg nog or any creamy mixed drinks for that matter, before taking a polite taste to humour me…. and two lip smacking drinks later they are demanding for the recipe. The bottle disappears fast. It’s that yummy.
HOW TO:
3 eggs
3/4 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
1/2 tsp coconut extract
1 pint of (10% fat) table cream (1 pint =2 cups or 500 ml)
13 ounces (or 375ml) of Five Star Rye Whisky
Place all of the ingredients in a large deep bowl (or if you have a large blender, you can mix it in there too). With a hand held immersion blender, blend well for at least 1 to 2 minutes. Pour into a glass bottle and keep refrigerated. Although you can drink it right away, it does taste better after 48 hours. I’ve been told it keeps for up to 3 months …but it never lasts that long!
*Notes: If you cannot find/purchase Seagram’s Five Star Rye Whisky, choose a good Irish rye-whisky. I have known a few people who tried making the recipe using whatever whisky they had in their bar and it came out terrible. Also, be careful when adding the coconut extract, a drop too much is truly too much, yuck!
