still swooning for gold

A couple of weeks ago I posted about ways to introduce brass and gold elements to any home decor (for more on that click HERE).  Still not convinced?  Here are some serious jaw dropping inspirations that are sure to win you over.

There are no words, really.  I mean this banister (above) is the equivalent of art for stairs!

I love everything about his little work corner (above); the antique desk with hints of gold leaf, that brass pocket watch clock, the lamp and plant container.  The greenish putty colour walls and charcoal carpet keep the look from being overwhelmingly warm -and that shaggy sheepskin rug thrown onto the chair’s seat is the little touch of unexpected fun that every space needs.

So simple!!  Bling up a simple chair or table with the furniture equivalent of ‘gold socks‘!  When I saw this photo I immediately began eye balling every piece of leggy furniture in my home.  One of them will fall victim to this experiment soon.

Wow.  I mean, brass kitchen cabinets??!?  The black floors and counter-tops are not exactly what I would have chosen but who really cares.  Seriously stunning.

ABOVE: I have never met anything Lucite that I did not immediately fall in love with.  After seeing these polished brass curtain rings on the chunky gorgeous Lucite rod, I felt light headed.  (Check out the website for other life changing room altering pieces).
